i'm not all sure how rate it all works. this isn't really a testimonial it's more like a "shout out" or a "comment" in myspace language. a "wall post"? Anyway, I wanted to mention that i really like that mixit tape! also your coffee rateitall is pretty cool. anyway, just wanted to say hi.

I've been waiting for a perfect time to leave magellan a good testimonial, and today is not perfect. However, I think I owe him one for too long. Magellan is my ideal in a lot of things. In terms of management of the site, I particularly like his style - not overly strict yet implement enough rules to keep everyone in check. In terms of his reviews, I tend to agree with him quite a lot and I don't even need to be biased. In terms of him as a person, I think he would be a dream date for all the single girls out there - funny, polite, mild-mannered, easy-going, good looking (at least from what I can tell) and most of all, intelligent. Well, I'm not young enough to be a stalker girl magellan :) Keep up the good work.

Good fellow. Now he is a prospectus of RIA, and we will be intouch one day. I think, and I think again that, he is the guy who unlocked some hidden funny, maniacs, genius, and rather incredible people in the US and around the world. To talk about RIA reviewers, you gotta talk and appreciate Magellan who gather them from every corner. Hey Mag!...where did find us?...tell us how did you find us?...take care mate, you rock!!

I haven't been at RIA long, but I see Magellan poppping up here and there (yes, I am usually on the opposing side of your views). He is always respectful, a little sarcastic (but then again, so am I), but all in all, a generally nice guy. I give his reviews a good read over before I respond (again, usually in direct opposition), and he is very knowledgable in many, many areas. He is quick and to the point.

Definitely a top notch reviewer. Magellan's reviews are informative, well written, and many of them really get you to thinking. He also has some really great lists.

He writes really great comments, has great lists, and it's also great meeting a fellow Flight of The Conchords fan.

Numbah, that's a great call about the RIA hoops game. But be warned: Magellan can be a black hole. I'm convinced he confuses himself with a good shooter sometimes. Don't ask him how many times I've destroyed him in HORSE because he'll lie.

If we ever have a RIA basketball game I'm picking him. That Frank the Bunny late night burrito run pic brought me to tears laughing, by the way...

Magellan is a good reviewer who offers a challenge from time to time. This challenge evokes a thought process that forces one to look deeper into his or her psyche. We don't always agree or come to the same conclusion on issues but I value his input.

Magellan wasted no time getting the Get Well Ridgewalker list up on the home page, when the site was under hacker attack at the same time, that says a lot about what kind of person he is. You're a stand up guy.

Whether you agree or disagree with magellan, he seems to be a really informed person and an overall good guy. He's also very straightforward, which is a very commendable quality. Props to you, Magellan. =)

While he and I do not see eye to eye on alot of things, he always treats me with respect on this site. I will also say that he is a major league contributer to the overall sucess of this site.

I'm always invading on his weblists and making suggestions---his contributions have kept me busy many times.

In the top rank of reviewers, and one of the better weblist makers too, and deserves a lot of kudos for keeping the site afloat.

As I explain in my statement the recession was caused by the tech stock failure in October of Clinton's last year. None of President Bush's policies were in place until after the recession was in place and for you to say that GW's policies caused the recession you would have to believe that his policies both caused the recession and brought us out of a recession to a very strong economy.

An open-minded and intelligent person with a wide range of interests; the epitome of a helpful reviewer.

We owe Magellan a vote of thanks for his work in development of this site and his work to keep it running and improving. I used to get to San Fran three or four times a year but not lately. I would like to meet him.

Great reviewer, and for a time one of the only ones to be able to stand toe-to-toe with Lance and Eschew on the issues. Appears very likeable from his posts and personal messages, and will definitely knock back one or two with him next time I make it down to that urban cesspool of liberalism and homoesexuality that I love so much.

What's left to be said about the gell that hasn't been? Nada...except that he's been my go-to guy for years for intelligent opinions on a variety of subjects. Just ignore what he has to say about Billy Joel.

I really like this guy. I agree with many of his posts when it comes to travelling and his posts on politics are backed with logic and common sense. I think he also has the best weblist content on RIA. I'm very envious of his travel experiences and I'd have to say if I'm ever in the Bay area I'd give him a shout out.

I haven’t had much contact with him, but I fully agree with what everyone else has said. I am impressed at his wide diversity of knowledge especially concerning RIA and the fact he is honest yet nice. Always willing to listen to you and consider your suggestions or give you help. A good asset to RIA.

Definitely has a wide variety of interests, which shows in the diversity of his posts. He's always willing to tell people what he thinks, which I admire in anyone.

Another one of my favourites, up there with Jed1000 and Andrew Scott. Not afraid to let people know exactly how he feels despite him getting along with them in the first place. One of the first people I spoke to on this site and always welcomes new people. Interesting weblists and reviews, can't imagine RIA without Magellan.

For fear of being repetitive, I'm a little reluctant to add to the already-existing and the inevitable kudos that will show up for magellan, but the sheer diversity of his comments, the vivid descriptions and the level-headedness with which he posts makes for as "perfect" of a review as one can get; it's hard not to note that. Always willing to help anyone get around on RIA, whether it be newbies or veterans on the site, his "personal touch" and dedication here is what sets RIA apart from the other ratings sites.

One of the first reviewers whose opinions I came to "trust" here at RIA. Direct, consistent, thoughtful, and considerate.. as well as plain spoken. Always a pleasure to read.

Many know Magellan as RIA's answer to Clark Kent-few are privy to his spin on Bizarro. All jest aside, Magellan is someone I regard highly for both his dedication to his work's mission and his wit.

Despite being slightly touchy about not yet breaking into the triple digits in his trusted network, Magellan sticks to his guns in ethical and political debates. And he has some nice post moves on the basketball court.
